Crocheting and knitting! (various projects)

I learned how to cable knit recently and loved it.

I made a couple hats! Hat used Corinnes how to crochet a hat vid on threadbanger, and the flowers also using the crochet flowers vid on threadbanger slightly modified for how I wanted them.


Like the bear my sister wanted her own hat. lol So I got this yarn cause it reminded me of her.


I also crocheted my own mitts

And I took a stab and making a crocheted teddy bear for the first time. No pattern, I just winged it.
He's about the size of your average coffee mug.

These are all very cute, I love the teddy bear! I tried learning to crochet and knit once, and decided that sewing was more up my ally. Haha. So kudos to you for learning this craft!

cabling scares me to death. i'm so afraid of messing up, but the swatch you did was beautiful! :O

dude, kio it's so easy! Seriously, it looks intimidating but it's really easy.

I made quite a few mistakes at the start, but it only took me a couple tries till I started to get the hang of it.
Once you do, you're set!

Cabling is one of those techniques that scare you to death, until you actually do some. Then you realize how easy they really are. The main trick is remembering to cross the cables over in the right direction.

All your goodies are so cute. What a great job on the bear, especially with no pattern.

I just learned how to knit after picking up the book 'stitchin' bitch', and I have been meaning to try cabling.

It just kind of sucks that the only color yarn I have is this corn yellow
lol.

Oh well. I guess it'll be good to practice on.
