| Subject: What to do with Freebie Chinese Calendar from last year... Fri Apr 15, 2011 6:14 pm | |
| So last year we ordered chinese food, and the delivery man gave us one of those "year of the (insert animal here)" calendars. I was really excited because it was free and it was oriental looking, but mostly because it was free. So I hung it up in our old bedroom, but as far as calendars go, it only lasted a year. But I thought it was so cool because it was all asian looking so I couldn't throw it away. So I painted it and wrote in Japanese characters Faith, Hope, and Love from my hubby's favorite bible saying, "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." I ended up finding the characters, printing, then using an exacto knife, tracing, and then painting them. But I am really happy the way it came out, and it's very meaningful. That and it was FREE | |
