My Labor of Love- Needlework

This was a true labor of love for me. I found this old piece in my parent's garage, packed away with some of my grandma's things. The only thing on it that was finished was the little bit of black in the pansy at the bottom. Well I took to finishing it and after a year I have finally completed it to my satisfaction. Trust me, I took it apart anytime I didn't like anything. This was a true mark of my love for my grandmother and a tribute to her.

Thanks, it was a lot of work and I didn't really know what I was doing most of the time. I had to keep looking up how to different stitces to get it right.

Oh geez, what a fabulous piece of art. You did such an excellent job. How big is the piece? Did you use embroidery floss or crewel yarn. It looks like yarn to me, but can't be sure. Whatever you used it turned out nice. Your grandma would be so proud.

I used embroidery floss and it is approx 16 by 14 inches. I'd like to find a unique way to display it so I can give it to my mother for mother's day so I am open to any ideas anyone has.
