Makin' a belt

So just recently in Photography class, mr teacher made the mistake of leaving the film roller out where the younger kids could get it. Long story short, I was left with a huge amount of ruined film. I was thinking i could make a belt out of some of it. I was planning on attatching said film to a nylon strap, to give it support. Ifanyone has a good idea for a cool buckle, please tell me. I could buy one or make one. I thought I might either paint little "negatives" on the film or something.

painting negatives and then making a necklace, ring or bracelet etc out of it would be pretty cool!

It would be awesome if you could somehow rig a empty film canister to act as the buckle. Not sure how well it would work though.

And speaking of leftover film, I saw this cool bag on Instructables the other day. http://www.instructables.com/id/35mm-Film-Bag-1/ I would totally make one if I still had any film.
